Who am I kidding? It's nearing the end of the school year for many of us and keeping our cool is probably the last thing on our minds. Between homework, projects, papers, work, clubs, it seems as though the days are 10 hours too short. I've been absent from writing on here for awhile because I've been so overwhelmed. However, I thought I'd take the time tonight to just pop on here and share with you all a few of the things I've been trying to do to get through these last couple of weeks.
KEEP CALM AND MAKE IT TO SUMMER 101
-Listen to your middle school jams. There's nothing to put you in a better mood than reminiscing on your too cool goth self circa 7th grade.
-Spend time outside! Take your homework outside to work on. Some quality one on one time with nature goes a long way.
-Mocha iced coffee mixed with chocolate milk. Do it. Seriously. It'll change your life.
-You time. Even if its only for five minutes a day, take the time to focus on just you. Maybe its through meditation, reading, or taking a walk. Spend some time with yourself.
-Quality time with friends...and Friends. Take the time to go to a coffee shop or just watch ridiculous YouTube videos with your buds. There's nothing better than laughing until it hurts. Also, watch Friends because you can never have too much Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, and Joey.
-Talk to your loved ones. TLC will always get you through the rough patches.
-Get your work done early. I know this is difficult, but if you can try to get your assignments done early instead of leaving them until the last minute. It'll really ease the stress.
-Breathe. Remember that everything is temporary. This semester won't last forever, although it sometimes seems like it. School won't last forever. The papers, tests, projects will all come to an end. So don't get too caught up in it all. Just take a step back, put it into perspective, believe in yourself, and breathe.
I wish all of you the best of luck on the rest of the semester! You're all superheroes.
